Skills & Drills – Leonard Weaver – RB Hand Down Drill
May 3, 2023
Carson-Newman running back coach Leonard Weaver goes through his hand-down drill.
The runner sprints or jogs to the other cone with the ball in their outside hand. He then rounds the cone keeping the inside hand down to stay on balance. To add in a new element, add another coach in the middle, trying to hit the ball out with a pad or keep the athletes off balance while making sure the ball stays tight.
