Skills & Drills – Brady Grayvold – DL Two-Gap Movement
May 10, 2023
In this clip from the Skills & Drills Field, Brady Grayvold takes us through his Two-Gap movement drill.
“Two-Gap Movement is a Big If, Then Statement” Action Away, One of Three Possibilities for an Offensive Lineman when a Two-Gap Movement Occurs.
One agility bag (agile) and three players.
On day one teach players the three possibilities that can occur from a two-gap movement. The first step is always the same, the second step depends on which of the three actions occurs. Teach proper reaction to the possibilities one at a time. The tackle reacts to the movement of the center and the guard, and the three players participating in the drill rotate through each position. When “action-away” occur the lineman should “step, rip, cut the field.”
