This week on Inside the Headset, we are featuring Drew Dallas, the head coach at Hutchinson CC. Coach Dallas discusses his own experience as a transfer player, learning & playing for his father, and reflects on his selection as the American Community College Football Coaches Association (ACCFCA) Coach of the Year.
Drew Dallas became the head football at Hutchinson CC in 2019 and has amassed a 28-3 record in his 3 years of coaching. After waiting 471 days due to the coronavirus pandemic, Coach Dallas led his team to the NJCAA Football national championship, the first in program history in his first season. He is a two-time Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Coach of the Year and won Wichita Area Sports Commission Coach of the Year and NJCAA National Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 season. Coach Dallas was named the ACCFCA coach of the year after accumulating an 11-1 record, the KJCCC title and an appearance in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I national championship game.
