Hudl To Be Presenting Sponsor Of AFCA FCS, D2, D3 Coaches Polls
August 6, 2024
The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) is pleased to announce that Hudl, the world’s leading provider of cloud-based technology connecting video and data for the sports industry, will be the presenting sponsor of the AFCA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Division II and Division III Coaches Polls.
“Hudl’s roots are in football, and we are passionately committed to supporting the sport and success at every level. Our goal is to ensure that every athlete gets the shot they deserve, by delivering the best technology and tools,” said Matt Mueller, COO at Hudl. ” This collaboration with AFCA fosters ongoing innovation and continued excellence in highlighting both team success and player development.”
The AFCA has been publishing weekly Top 25 polls since 1999, when Division III head coaches overwhelmingly supported the idea of the association producing a coaches poll. The AFCA added a Division II poll the very next year, then took over the FCS Coaches Poll in 2018.
AFCA-member coaches in those three divisions make up the voting panel for each poll, with every conference represented by one or two coaches. There is a preseason poll, followed by polls during every week of the regular season. A final poll is published after each division’s national championship game. The AFCA polls are released on Monday’s each year.
“On behalf of our FCS, Division II and Division III members, we are excited that Hudl has come on board as a presenting sponsor of those three Top 25 polls,” AFCA executive director Craig Bohl said. “The FCS, D2 and D3 Coaches Polls are some of our most visible assets, with our weekly rankings published across the nation. We look forward to a long-standing relationship with Hudl presenting these weekly rankings.”
