[FCS Poll] Eastern Washington Scores 24 Unanswered Points To Lift Eagles Over UC Davis

Eastern Washington entered the fourth quarter with a 35-20 lead over then-No. 7 UC Davis before rattling off 24 unanswered points. Following their 59-20 victory, the Eagles maintain their No. 3 ranking in this week’s AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Aggies dropped four spots to No. 11. UC Davis will look to bounce back next week against Sacramento State, while Eastern Washington will travel to Portland State to take on the Vikings.

Following their 10th straight victory, North Dakota State gathered all 26 first-place votes to stay at No. 1. Following the Bison are No. 2 Kennesaw State, No. 4 Weber State and No. 5 South Dakota State, who round out the Top 5.

San Diego’s 56-52 victory over Davidson propelled them into the Top 25 for the first time in 2018 as they check in at No. 22. Indiana State joins them at No. 24 following a 28-23 upset of then-No. 22 Illinois State. No. 25 North Dakota is back in the poll for the first time since week 9 following a 17-10 victory over Portland State.
Week 11 will feature three Top 25 matchups. The first two matchups pin Colonial Athletic Association rivals against each other when No. 8 James Madison travels to No. 16 Towson, followed by No. 12 Elon traveling to No. 19 Maine. Last, but not least, No. 2 Kennesaw State will face off against No. 7 Jacksonville State in SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
