Delaware Dominates in Top 25 Showdown

Delaware used 610 total yards of offense to dominate then-No. 14 Rhode Island, 42-14. It was the most total yards of offense in a single game for the Blue Hens since August 29, 2013, against Jacksonville when they recorded 611. Quarterback Nolan Henderson set career highs with 29 completions for 379 yards and four touchdowns. With the win, Delaware moves up to No. 8 in this week’s AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Blue Hens will face Colonial Athletic Association newcomer, Hampton, next Saturday.
The Top 3 remained unchanged with North Dakota State, Montana, and South Dakota State staying put. Villanova lost to Army West Point, 49-10, and dropped to No. 10, allowing Missouri State, who played a close game against Arkansas, to move up to a tie at No. 4 with Montana State.
There are three Top 25 matchups this coming weekend with the biggest being No. 3 South Dakota State traveling to No. 4t Missouri State. The other two are No. 4t Montana State traveling to No. 15 Eastern Washington and No. 23 Austin Peay hosting No. 20 Eastern Kentucky.
