[D3 Poll] Mary Hardin-Baylor Ranked No. 1 in First AFCA Division III Coaches Poll of 2019

Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) starts the 2019 AFCA Division III Coaches’ Top 25 Poll in familiar fashion – at No. 1. The Crusaders, who received 40 first-place votes, defeated Belhaven (Miss.), 23-13, to improve their record to 2-0. They look to continue their winning-streak next week as they host Howard Payne (Tex.) in American Southwestern Conference play.

Mount Union (Ohio) comes in at No. 2 after receiving 13 first-place votes. The Raiders are followed by Wisconsin-Whitewater, St. John’s (Minn.) and North Central (Ill.), who round out the Top 5. There is only one Top 25 matchup this coming weekend, and it is a Top 10 battle as No. 2 Mount Union travels to No. 9 John Carroll (Ohio) in an important Ohio Athletic Conference contest.
