[D2 Poll] Frostburg State and Chowan Enter the AFCA D2 Coaches’ Poll for the First Time
October 4, 2021
There have been 128 teams who have been ranked since the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll began in 2000. You can add two more teams to that list. Frostburg State (Md.) and Chowan (N.C.) both enter the Top 25 for the first time. Frostburg State is ranked No. 23 after moving to 5-0 with a 51-21 victory over North Carolina-Pembroke. Chowan is also 5-0 and is ranked No. 24 after beating Winston-Salem State (N.C.), 73-7. Frostburg State’s ranking is a little more remarkable because the Bobcats are in year three of their move to Division II from Division III after the 2018-19 academic year.
