Club 35 was established in 1997 to offset the growth of the AFCA’s membership and help maintain the closeness and rapport of the association. It is made up of AFCA 35-Year members who function as ambassadors for the association. Members are tasked with calling on coaches in times of need and notifying the AFCA office of any difficult situations that may arise for coaches in their area.
Membership also includes the opportunity to attend a special session at the AFCA Convention dedicated to the group. Originally, only retired 35-Year members were invited to participate, but response to the program has been so overwhelming that it has been expanded to include all AFCA 35-Year members who would like to participate.
