Minnesota State ends the regular season at No. 1 in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll for the third time in poll history. The Mavericks ended the 2013 and 2014 regular seasons at No. 1 as well. Minnesota State is 11-0 and will host No. 20 Colorado State-Pueblo in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. The rest of the Top 5 has Shepherd (W.Va.) at No. 2, Indiana (Pa.) at No. 3, Fort Hays State (Kan.) at No. 4 and Midwestern State (Texas) at No. 5. All of those teams will be in the playoffs as well, with Indiana (Pa.) and Fort Hays State picking up No. 1 seeds and byes in the first round.

Twenty-one of the Top 25 teams earned a spot in the playoffs with No. 7 Central Washington and No. 17 West Alabama earning the two other No. 1 seeds.
