2021 AFCA Virtual Convention Kickoff Speaker – Urban Meyer

The 2021 virtual convention kickoff speaker is Urban Meyer, and is presented by Werner Ladder, the #1 Pro Ladder and proud partner of the Werner Ladder AFCA FBS Coach of the Year and the 2021 AFCA Virtual Convention. Werner also joins the American Football Coaches Association in its efforts to cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as the Presenting Sponsor of Coach To Cure MD, an initiative of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), the largest, most comprehensive nonprofit organization in the U.S. focused entirely on Duchenne.
Meyer, who is currently a college football analyst for Fox Sports, won three national championships as a head coach that spanned 17 years at four different universities. He began his head coaching career at Bowling Green in 2001, winning 17 games in two seasons as head coach. Meyer then moved on to Utah in 2003, guiding the Utes to an undefeated season in 2004. In his six seasons at Florida, Meyer led the Gators to national titles in 2006 and 2008. He finished his coaching career at Ohio State, guiding the Buckeyes to the 2014 national championship and winning 10 or more games each of his 7 years as head coach.
