[D3 Poll] Muhlenberg Clinches Their Spot In NCAA Postseason Play

Muhlenberg (Pa.) remains at No. 5 in the AFCA Division III Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and clinches their spot in the NCAA postseason with a 44-3 win against Gettysburg (Pa.) this past Saturday. With the win, the Mules also own at least a share of their 11th Centennial Conference championship and can clinch the title outright next week with a win against Moravian (Pa.).

For the eighth week in a row, Mary Hardin-Baylor holds steady at No. 1 overall and collected 37 first-place votes following a blowout, 41-3 victory over Texas Lutheran. Mount Union (Ohio) also had a dominant performance, beating Muskingum (Ohio), 51-3, and checks in close behind at No. 2 after receiving the remaining 15 first-place votes. Rounding out the rest of the Top 5 are No. 3 Wisconsin-Whitewater and No. 4 Wheaton (Ill.).

There is one Top 25 matchup this coming weekend as No. 10 Bethel (Minn.) travels to No. 21 St. Thomas (Minn.). The winner of the Royals and Tommies matchup will claim a share of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and would be in contention for a likely at-large berth in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
