Oregon Ends Regular Season at No. 1

The Oregon Ducks beat Penn State, 45-37, in the Big Ten championship game to claim the title in their first year in the league. The Ducks, who are the only undefeated team left in FBS, finish the regular season ranked No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and received the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.
Georgia is No. 2 after beating Texas for the SEC title. The Bulldogs received the second seed in the College Football Playoff and have a first-round bye along with No. 1 Oregon. Notre Dame comes in at No. 3 and will host No. 9 Indiana in the first round of the playoffs. Texas drops to No. 4 and will host No. 13 Clemson in the first round. Penn State rounds out the top five and will host No. 12 SMU in the final first round game of the College Football Playoff.
