35 Under 35 Class of 2025 Application

The 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute is a one-day event designed to identify and train rising leaders in the game of football and the coaching profession. The institute will feature interactive lectures on topics that include ethics, leadership, NCAA rules, financial management, the hiring process, and athlete safety.
With the American Football Coaches Foundation’s involvement, The AFCA created a prestigious program aimed at identifying and developing premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession. Selected participants are invited to attend a one-day institute that features a curriculum of interactive lectures focused on topics specifically tailored to emphasize leadership in the coaching profession, ethics, influential responsibilities, career progression, and family balance.
APPLICATION PERIOD
ELIGIBILITY
TO APPLY
July 1st to July 31st, 2024
Applicants MUST be 35 years of age or younger on January 1st, and be a full-time assistant or head coach at Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, JC institutions; or a high school head coach.
Send your resume, references, date of birth, article or link to your video using a file-sharing service (i.e. Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to [email protected].
Sign the consent form to share your article/video in our AFCA Digital Library, AFCA publications, or use in any of our digital events.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
The applicant must submit:
Up-to-date resume
Name and contact of five references (not reference letters)
Date of birth
EITHER
A 1,600 word article on an offensive, defensive, special teams, or position-specific topic (submissions must be in PDF format). The article must include diagrams of plays or drills.
OR
An ORIGINAL high-quality video or live instruction (minimum of 10 minutes) of an offensive, defensive, or special teams scheme, play/concept, or drill.
*DO NOT WRITE OR CREATE A VIDEO ON A TOPIC YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SHARE WITH THE AFCA MEMBERSHIP*
